This is a video game post. Last night my friend Ben and I are playing Mario Kart Wii against people we will in all likelihood never meet. We had cycled through 8-player races, and 12-player races, and at the time we were in a 4-player race. 4-player races are interesting because they can spread out, which is exactly what happened. We were in the N64 Bowser's Castle circuit, and after 2 laps I had a quarter-lap lead on Ben and a half-lap lead on the other two.
It was at that point that one of the two mystery racers vanished. It could've been an error on the Wii's part, but we figured that it was most likely a 'rage quit.'
"Rage Quitting" occurs when you are playing a video game and your opponent is beating you so badly that you throw your game controller across the room in disgust and curse madly at the TV.
That, friends, is what happened last night.

Rage quitting is a common problem in any kind of online game.
If you are in a competitive environment you can use this to your advantage. Just kindly poke at them verbally until they quit thus granting you the win.
